The main feature on Twitter is the ability to promote through writing a post, hashtags are the key to more interactions as it attracts a specific target audience. 


Sponsored tweets are useful as they appear on a user’s home page, the more consumers a tweet can attract, the more followers a company will gain. Live Streaming can also be a beneficial factor for companies, Twitters main frequent users are the younger generation averaging from 15 to 20, meaning they would much prefer to watch a live video rather than read a long content post.

Instagram on the other hand has a different approach towards social media platforms as it allows users to browse various pages of their interest, users or companies can create an account, which will allow them to post images; that may include written content, videos or Boomerangs. Instagram also enables users to communicate with others via direct message or by commenting on existing posts. 




Linkedin


This platform attracts a professional audience, which allows users to create a courier based profile.   Account holders can connect with relevant contacts; similarly to Facebook, when a friend adds another friend which enables them to communicate. One of the main benefits of this social media platform, it allows users to contact other members of Linkedin in order to receive recommendations on for example their profile or how they can improve their employability. Employers who hold accounts on Linkedin, can also view profiles in order to determine whether they should employ individuals as they usually contain details about previous jobs.

As an agency, we have decided to focus on Twitter as our social media platform. In order for Rare London to attract more consumers to their Twitter page, they would create a tweet, similarly to the tweet below. 







 This tweet is includes a link, for consumers to navigate to a Rare London campaign competition. The purpose of this tweet would be for customers to enter their details, Rare London would then create a consumer database, along with obtaining and analyse demographics of their target market.



Whereas the customers would be in the chance of winning a voucher worth £500. 


Benefits of campaign:



  • The links and hashtags will encourage tweet engagement, the tweet content would also encourage consumer to retweet in order to increase the amount of views.
